Mother’s Day? Back to my roots…

Origami Flower Bouquet

Once upon a time…

Before I decided to take my crafts to the internets and when I just kept them as good tools for making free or cheap gifts, I discovered a fun app called Snapguide. It was fun, just starting out, and even though my iPod doesn’t have a camera (OLD school, 1st generation…) I wanted to make a guide too! So I photographed every step of my current project: making a gift for Mom. She’s allergic to flowers, but they are so pretty, and I wanted to give her something that would last longer anyway. The resulting idea? An origami bouquet! It turned out better than even I had hoped, and the guide was a hit.

Fast forward a year. It’s that time again, where crafty people are looking for new ideas to thank their awesome moms for, well, being moms! I had been noticing an increase in “likes” lately, but assumed the buzz was over- then I checked my email a few minutes ago. “Your guide has been featured!” it said!

Yay! People are still checking out the guide, using it, adapting it, and loving it.
